Advanced Credit Opportunities
Oregon State University awards ungraded credit for achievement on certain College Board Advanced Placement (AP) examinations. Information pertaining to specific AP credit policies is provided by high school counseling centers or may be obtained from the OSU Office of Admissions. Advanced standing credit may also be granted for most scores of 4 and above on the International Baccalaureate (IB) Higher Level and Standard Level examinations. IB advanced placement policies are determined by appropriate academic departments.
OSU also offers additional benefits for students who complete the full IB diploma. If the total score is 30 or higher, benefits include sophomore standing, and a $3,000 renewable scholarship.
OSU's college code is 4586 for those wishing to have their scores sent.
