About the Award

The Presidential Scholarship awards up to $40,000 ($10,000 per year, renewable for up to four years total) to new resident freshmen students attending the Corvallis or Bend campuses.

Additional Benefits

There are benefits only available to Presidential Scholars to help amplify the first-year experience here at Oregon State. In addition to the scholarship, other perks include:

• Waived $50 housing contract signing fee (automatically applied)
• Exemption from paying the Advance Tuition Deposit (must request via ATD waiver form in Beaver Basecamp)
• Priority registration for the START orientation session of your choice* (*Presidential Scholars are given 1 week advance registration before registration opens to all students.)
• Free ZipCar membership for one year ($25 value) and a $10 driving credit (Corvallis campus only)

Note:  to be eligible for these benefits, you must have submitted your ATD waiver request by May 1.

*NOTE: CONFIRMATION DEADLINE IS EXTENDED TO JUNE 1, 2024

Confirming your enrollment must be completed by published deadlines (June 1 for new students entering in the Fall term; For Winter, Spring and Summer Terms, the ATD is refundable until three weeks before the start of the term) to secure your spot in the incoming class.
