ONID = One Network ID

Admitted students are encouraged to activate their ONID early, even if they are still unsure whether or not they will attend OSU.  Doing so allows you to view your scholarship and financial aid offers when they are made, along with other key to-do's in the enrollment process.

What is ONID?

ONID accounts provide:

  • Email
  • File storage (2GB per user)
  • Personal web pages (including MySQL database access)
  • UNIX shell access
  • Access to other services

Why do I need it?

The ONID account (now also called "OSU username") is the primary login used by all OSU students, employees and associates. The ONID account is used to log in to a number of services including Gmail, Exchange Email, Canvas, MyOSU, wireless, computer labs, etc.
