Is there an application fee? Can I get a waiver for it?

Yes, there is a required $60.00 application fee which unfortunately not be waived.


What is the application deadline?

We do not have a strict deadline but encourage students to submit their application and supporting documents at least 4 weeks before their desired program start date.  You can see our start dates here:

Is the TOEFL or IELTS score required to apply?

Without a TOEFL or IELTS score, you will be considered for 3 terms of Academic English plus our standard Pathway Program.  A test score can qualify you for a shorter Pathway or direct entry.  In some cases, you may qualify for an English language score waiver. Do I need to submit an SAT score?

SAT scores are not required but may be used for an English language waiver if you have a qualifying score of verbal/critical reading score 500+ or evidence-based reading/writing score 560+


I want to be an athlete at OSU. How do I apply?

You will need to go to the Oregon State Athletics website and fill out the Recruiting Questionnaire for the sport you are interested in playing here:

Do I have to live on campus?

First year students who enroll within one year of high school graduation must live on campus for their first three terms.
