Undergraduate Pathway and Undergraduate Transfer Programs

These programs combine intensive language study, academic skills development and academic course work in a carefully constructed program designed to prepare students for rigorous OSU degree programs.

Understand the Pathway Program

The Undergraduate Pathway Program is carefully designed to help students through the first year of the undergraduate degree program. Joining our Pathway program will not extend the overall length of an undergraduate degree. In fact, it will guarantee places in required courses, which will keep you on track to graduate in the planned timeframe.

The Pathway program is ideal for students who:

  • Want to study for an undergraduate degree in the U.S
  • Need to improve English language skills
  • May have a lower GPA than required for direct admission to degree programs
  • Desire additional academic, language and cultural support for success during their first year at Oregon State University

Understand the Undergraduate Transfer Program (UTP)

The UTP offers customized programs for students who have earned university credits and wish to apply them towards their OSU degree. UTP students receive additional academic, language and cultural support to help them be successful at OSU.

The UTP is ideal for students who:

  • Want to study for an undergraduate degree in the U.S.
  • Apply previously earned university credit towards graduation at OSU
  • May need to improve their English language skills
